Planting the seeds in the garden.

We have been working on our new poject, the Gumtree Digital 3D Farm. So it's time to step back, take a breather and share some insight as to what we have been up to. For quite some time we have been fascinated with the entire 3D printing process. From designing things to searching and discovering items that are ready to print.

So after a lot of research and a heck of a lot of going back and forth, the next logical step was to take the plunge and jump on in. So now we have the Gumtree Digital 3D Farm!

So what started us off on the endevor? It started with visiting our local farmers market and seeing a table of 3D printed objects for sale and how fast they were selling.

With being totally fascinated with concept of being able to literally print anything at all the seeds were planted as they say.

So with great caution we added our little garden and added our first printer. Starting with a few test prints we found the biggest surprise was the quality and smoothness of each of the prints.

So we are off and running. With a great deal of enthousiasm and determination we were scouring the internet looking for printable items. The one thing that we weren't expecting was print times. How long it actually takes to print items. We thought there has to be a better, faster way to produce items. It didn't take long and our little garden grew with the addition of a second printer.

So there you have it. Our little garden is producing. More to come.
